A new movie called Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble is getting ready to start filming in March. This exciting film will bring together scary monsters from earlier movies, like Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey.
These movies are possible because the characters are now part of the public domain, which means anyone can use them.
We don’t know much about the story yet, but the movie is planned to come to theaters soon.
A Look Back at Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey
The movie Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, written and directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield, showed us a dark version of Christopher Robin (played by Nikolai Leon). He had to escape from the creatures who used to be his friends when he was little. The movie made $7.7 million worldwide. Since it didn’t cost much to make, it was a big success.
This success inspired Frake-Waterfield to create more scary movies with other famous characters from children’s stories.
What’s Next for the Poohniverse?
There are more scary movies on the way!
- Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare: This movie will follow Wendy Darling (Megan Placito) as she tries to save her brother from Peter Pan (Martin Portlock) and Tinker Bell (Kit Green). Scott Jeffrey is writing and directing this film.

- Pinocchio: Unstrung: Pinocchio will stop at nothing to become a real boy in this upcoming scary movie.
A sequel to Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey is also being made. In this movie, Craig David Dowsett will return as the terrifying Pooh.
