Details: Oz’s fancy apartment was filmed in this area, between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, giving a lively, urban feel to the scenes.
The Falcone Mansion
Location: La Selva, Upper Brookville, Long Island
Details: The mansion, with its beautiful Italian Renaissance-style architecture, was used as Sofia Falcone’s family home. It shows the wealth and power of the Falcone family.
Gotham City Bridge
Location: George Washington Bridge
Details: A winged statue and gothic arch were added digitally to the bridge to make it look like a part of Gotham. The bridge connects Gotham to a fictional place called “Bristol Township.”

Apart from the locations mentioned above, the filming unit also used the facilities of Silvercup Studios to capture important scenes of the series. Silvercup Studios is a big place where movies and TV shows are made in New York City. It started in 1983 and is in Long Island City, Queens, with another location in the Bronx. It used to be a bakery before becoming a studio.
When Did the Filming of The Penguin Take Place?
Filming for The Penguin started on March 1, 2023, with the working title Boss. The crew filmed in New York City, including places in Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn.
However, filming had to stop in June 2023 because of the Hollywood labor disputes. Filming restarted on November 27, 2023, and finished on February 17, 2024.
Colin Farrell spent hours each day in prosthetic makeup to become the Penguin. The team also worked hard to design Gotham City. They used a mix of real New York locations and computer-generated images (CGI) to keep the city dark and gritty, just like Gotham should be.
